Job summary

IMDiversity seeks a dynamic Visual Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Holladay Elementary Magnet School. 1.0 FTE, 7.5 hours/day, 9.5-month calendar. Requires AZ Art Endorsements and a valid IVP clearance. Immunization proof (MMR) is required. Collaborative, student-centered planning is essential.

Successful candidates will demonstrate experience engaging diverse student populations and a commitment to continuous learning within a team environment.

Qualifications

• AZ teaching certificates with art endorsements as required.
• Immunization/health clearance including measles and rubella (MMR).
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement lesson plans for Visual Arts across grades K-5.
• Instruct and assess students, monitor performance, and adapt instruction to improve achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan instruction and ensure diversity appreciation.

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Minimum Requirements

• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Art K-12 Endorsement
• Arizona Secondary Certificate with Art approved area or Art K-12 Endorsement
• Arizona Arts Education Certificate PreK-12 Certificate
• Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Art approved area
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Requirements Prior to Start Date

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Preferred Requirements

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Location: Holladay Elementary Magnet School - 33rd St. & Park Area - 1 position - Grades K-5
FTE : 1.0, 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
