Job summary

Half Pint Day Care and Preschool in Lambertville, NJ is seeking a passionate Teacher or Teacher Assistant to join our caring team. You will create a warm, age-appropriate classroom that supports early learning and fosters curiosity in young children.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, supporting social and cognitive development, communicating with families, and assisting lead teachers. Prior childcare experience and NJ certifications are preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff.
• Ability to obtain or currently holds required NJ childcare certifications or clearances.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space in compliance with childcare regulations
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
