The Department of Corrections in Wisconsin is seeking a teacher to act as the expert technical resource for the tattooing program. You will deliver required instruction to complete the tattooing program and prepare students for Wisconsin licensure, while setting up, maintaining equipment and supplies and evaluating learners.
You must manage the classroom, ensure safety and compliance with all DOC, WSPF, and Wisconsin standards and procedures.

This Teacher position serves as the expert technical resource for other agency staff and institution staff involved in the design and implementation of the tattooing program. This position will provide necessary instruction to complete the tattooing program; prepare student for Wisconsin licensure, set up, maintain equipment and supplies, evaluate students and maintain classroom control, and adhere to all DOC, WSPF, and Wisconsin Administrative Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
This position is in pay schedule and range 13-04 with a starting pay of $31.64/hour - $35.76/hour, plus excellent benefits. Candidates may receive supplemental pay, up to $2.97/hr., for additional credits relevant to the position that are over & above the credits needed for certification. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
