Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum educational requirements as established by state regulations.
  • Valid teaching certificate or substitute teaching permit, if required by state law.
  • Previous teaching or classroom experience preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement lesson plans and classroom activities provided by the regular teacher.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.
  • Supervise students during instructional periods and other assigned times.
  • Foster respect, responsibility, and Christian values consistent with Catholic teachings.
  • Manage classroom behavior using established school policies and procedures.
  • Adapt instruction as needed to meet students' learning needs.
  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Communicate important information regarding student behavior, progress, or classroom activities to school administration and the regular teacher.
  • Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Participate in school prayer, religious activities, and liturgical celebrations when appropriate.
