Teacher - Special Education Level 2 - 2025-2026

Under the supervision of the Principal and/or other designated administrator, the Special Education Teacher develops and implements instructional programs tailored to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. Responsibilities include assessing student performance, modifying instructional activities as needed, and understanding relevant local, state, and federal mandates governing special education.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promote positive interactions and enthusiasm for learning among students.
  • Encourage self-direction and motivation.
  • Adapt instructional content to students' needs and interests.
  • Plan and organize effective long-term lesson plans.
  • Use a variety of teaching materials and resources.
  • Clearly communicate lesson objectives and their importance.
  • Apply diverse teaching techniques and activities both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate findings appropriately.
School Environment Responsibilities
  • Complete reports accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in responsibilities outside the classroom related to school activities.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment for students.
Professional Development and Conduct
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning relevant to the role.
  • Respond promptly to requests for information.

  • Ensure attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
