ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use assessment strategies (traditional and alternative) aligned with the curriculum and standards to assist in the continuous development of learners.
- Use effective communication techniques with students, parents, and all stakeholders.
- Engage in planned continuous professional development for self and school improvement.
- Employ strategies that promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking skills in students.
- Utilize instructional strategies and materials that reflect students' diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
- Adhere to contracts, ethics, and regulations of the education profession in Florida, and support enforcement of federal, state, and district policies.
- Apply understanding of human development to create a positive learning environment supporting students' intellectual, personal, and social growth.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
- Establish classroom management systems that foster discipline and a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment across various learning environments.
- Collaborate with peers, parents, community, and stakeholders to improve educational experiences.
- Integrate appropriate technology into teaching and learning processes.
- Complete required training and obtain endorsements for teaching Limited English Proficient (LEP) students, if applicable.
- Maintain accurate school records and submit necessary reports.
- Manage school property responsibly.
- Perform activities in compliance with equal employment policies and safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
