ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use assessment strategies (traditional and alternative) aligned with the curriculum and standards to assist in the continuous development of learners.
• Use effective communication techniques with students, parents, and all stakeholders.
• Engage in planned continuous professional development for self and school improvement.
• Employ strategies that promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking skills in students.
• Utilize instructional strategies and materials that reflect students' diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Adhere to contracts, ethics, and regulations of the education profession in Florida, and support enforcement of federal, state, and district policies.
• Apply understanding of human development to create a positive learning environment supporting students' intellectual, personal, and social growth.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
• Establish classroom management systems that foster discipline and a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment across various learning environments.
