The British International School Houston is seeking to appoint an outstanding Secondary Science Teacher to inspire, challenge and support our students in our state of the art purpose built school. The Science Department includes specialist teachers in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The Secondary Science department provides learning across the natural Sciences for Students aged 11 to 18 years old. Due to the growth of the school, we seek to employ an experienced Science Teacher, to work with students in Middle School (ages 9-14) and High School (ages 15-18). The ideal candidate will be able to teach Science at Middle School and experience teaching the IGCSE and IB curricular (or equivalent) in one of the three core Sciences will be desirable.

Participates in all aspects of our learning programme, in line with school policy that assist in growing the school and are linked to the agreed learning programme
Planning and Preparation
Sets clear learning intentions and educational outcomes.
Designs lesson plans, activities and assessments that are aligned to the school’s curriculum and that engage students.
Conceptualises, plans and teaches well-structured lessons and programmes that engage, inspire and stretch students; encouraging them to be ambitious
