Job summary

St. Anne’s Family Services in California is seeking a Teacher for the Early Childhood Education program to support social, physical, and intellectual development in young children.

You will work with co-teachers to implement responsive curricula, assess progress, and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment. Strong documentation skills and family engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires AA/BA in ECE or related field.
• One year experience in an educational setting with pre-elementary children preferred.
• Bilingual English, Spanish, Korean and/or Tagalog preferred.
• California Teaching Commission permit/plan to obtain permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diapering, dressing, and personal care for toddlers.
• Implement curriculum and daily classroom planning; assess and document development.
• Observe, assess, and develop individualized goals based on each child’s needs.
• Collaborate with Co-Teacher and CFSA to engage families and provide resources.
• Maintain accurate attendance, records, and data entry in Child Plus.
• Support Head Start services including health, nutrition, and family engagement.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.About the Program: The Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is an Early Head Start and Head Start program that services children, ages birth to 5 years of age, and their families. Our program supports school readiness by focusing on health, mental health, nutrition, family engagement and social/emotional development. All of our Early Childhood Education services are free to eligible families.Role Summary: This position as a Teacher assists in facilitating and implementing individual and group activities to support children’s social, physical, and intellectual development. Responsibilities include planning, assessing, and developing responsive curriculum activities tailored to each child’s developmental needs and learning approach. The Teacher collaborates with co-teachers to stimulate learning and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment that encourages exploration and growth. Additionally, the Teacher is responsible for completing educational assessments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the inclusion of children with Individual Family Development Plans (IFSPs).
