Compass Health Center in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood seeks a Teacher’s Assistant. This role blends direct patient interaction with administrative work and supports patients with diverse psychiatric needs in a school-year program with summers off.
You’ll supervise learning environments for under-18 programs, set up rooms, manage materials, assist with assessments, help with devices and Wi‑Fi, and coordinate with doctors, nurses, therapists and teachers while protecting patient privacy.
Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
We are seeking a Teacher’s Assistant to join our team! This role will be a blend of direct patient interaction and general administration work. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great addition to our team.
Our centrally located Chicago office is nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Center, not to mention the social events hosted on our fully furnished rooftop!

Compass Health Center is a recognized leader in crisis-level mental health, bringing passion, connection, and patient-centered care to the PartialHospitalizationand Intensive Outpatient space (PHP/IOP). Based in Chicagoland, we serve hundreds of patients every day, ranging from ages 5 through adulthood, in our onsite facilities or through our flourishing virtual programming.
