Job summary

NurturEd in Rhode Island is seeking a Teacher's Assistant to support the Lead Teacher, providing a safe, structured environment where children can read, play, and learn. You will help implement curriculum, engage learners, and assist with assessments across our centers.

The role includes partnering with families, using an electronic daily tracking app, and supporting accreditation efforts. This is a full-time position with room for growth within our Rhode Island locations.

Our learning centers are open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. We have locations across Rhode Island. We have full time positions or part time positions (with flexible schedules available). Benefits vary for full time / part time positions.

Requirements

Education Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).
• Visual and hearing acuity.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Other Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older (Teen Aide positions are available for applicants 16-18 years of age).
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English, bilingual encouraged to apply.
• Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check.
