Job summary

The position offers 27.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 2:15 pm, with a school calendar and a 6-week summer session. Starting pay ranges from $16.34 to $17.98 per hour, reflecting experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with IEPs and objectives to maximize learning opportunities.
• Communicate with teacher regarding student behavior, concerns, successes or problems.
• Use techniques employed by the teacher to support instruction and behavioral intervention.
• Complete mandatory trainings and pursue growth in assistive technology, augmentative communication, and working with young children.
• Ensure the safety of all students through appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate participation in daily classroom activities.
• Perform general classroom maintenance.
• Implement appropriate behavioral strategies.
• Becoming familiar with the IEPs of all children and monitor objectives.
• Communicate with the teacher regarding student behavior and progress.
• Support teacher with instruction and behavioral interventions to maintain consistency.
• Maintain student safety through vigilant supervision.
