Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a dedicated child care educator to join our team in Severna Park, MD. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, engaging classroom and delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.

You will collaborate with the Lead teacher and Director to create a nurturing environment, communicate with families, and support ongoing program development. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in the child care industry preferred.
• Ability to implement lesson plans suitable for different ages.
• Strong communication with parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing classroom in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Assist in maintaining attractive displays and an educational Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans age-appropriate and aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Supervise children and guide behavior with positive discipline techniques.
• Ensure classroom appearance, cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Assist in completing all classroom paperwork.
• Communicate with parents about development and classroom happenings.
• Identify opportunities or problems and work with Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
• Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements

Education/Experience: Experience in child care industry preferred.
