Job summary

Celebree Schools in Ellicott City, MD seeks dedicated child care educators for full-time roles (30+ hours per week). You will assist in managing classrooms, implement engaging lessons, and maintain a welcoming environment for children, families, and visitors.

You will collaborate with Lead teachers and the Director to ensure compliance with regulations, maintain displays, and provide timely updates on each child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom displays and an educational Parent Board updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans age-appropriate and aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions and supervises children during activities.
• Communicates with parents, greeting by name, addressing concerns promptly, and providing regular updates on development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities or problems in the classroom and works with Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
• Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements
