Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support instructors and foster a welcoming, age-appropriate learning environment. You will help implement lesson plans, assist with activities, and help maintain tidy, safe classrooms.

The role emphasizes communication with parents, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve classroom issues, with opportunities for growth within the Celebree Organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care industry preferred.
• Strong communication with parents and visitors.
• Ability to create age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans and displays.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom displays and Parent Board updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans age-appropriate and in line with Celebree curriculum.
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Supervises children during all activities and uses positive discipline techniques when needed.
• Ensures classroom appearance, cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Completes all classroom paperwork.
• Communicates with parents, greeting by name and providing updates on development and happenings.
• Identifies opportunities or problems in the classroom and works with Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
• Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements

Education/Experience: Experience in child care industry preferred.
