Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a full-time classroom assistant to support teachers in a nurturing, child-centered environment. The role focuses on maintaining a welcoming classroom, assisting with lesson plans, and ensuring a safe, organized space for children and families.

You will help with transitions, document progress, and communicate with parents while upholding Celebree's standards and curriculum across daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming, friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom displays and a Parent Board with updates.
• Assists in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Celebree curriculum.
• Manages effective classroom transitions and supervises children during activities.
• Counsels children using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures classroom appears clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Completes classroom paperwork and communicates with parents regularly.
• Identifies opportunities and works with Lead teacher and Director to resolve issues.

Essential Functions:

• · Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.


• · Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.


• · Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.


• · Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;


• · Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.


• · Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.


• · Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.


• · Assists in completing all classroom paperwork


• · Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.


• · Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements

Education/Experience: Experience in child care industry preferred.
