Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Private Tutoring role based in Boca Raton, FL. The Private Tutor will provide individualized and/or small-group instruction in one or more academic subjects, following established curricula and tailoring lesson plans to meet each student’s needs and learning style. Daily responsibilities include preparing learning materials, delivering engaging lessons, monitoring student progress while maintaining accurate records of assignments and assessments. The role involves communicating regularly with students and parents and caregivers about goals, progress, and strategies for improvement. The Private Tutor is expected to create a positive, inclusive learning environment and uphold professional standards in classroom management and student support.

Qualifications

• Ability to design and deliver clear, structured lessons aligned with academic standards and individual student goals.
• Strong classroom management and one‑on‑one tutoring skills, including the ability to engage diverse learners and support different learning styles.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, caregivers, and colleagues in a collaborative manner.
• Organizational skills to plan sessions, track student progress, and manage schedules and documentation accurately.
• Adaptability and problem‑solving skills to adjust instructional strategies based on assessment data and student feedback.
• Experience teaching or tutoring in K–12 or higher education settings is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in teaching or tutoring will be considered.

• Flexibility in time and days to ensure a committed schedle for consistent, weekly tutoring.
