Summary:
The Multi-Classroom Leader 1 (MCL1) is expected to coach 3-6 teachers intensively and teach students through various models. The MCL1 leads a team of teachers and support staff across multiple classrooms, ensuring high standards of excellence set by the principal. Responsibilities include establishing team roles and goals, organizing teaching roles based on strengths and professional development goals, reviewing student progress, and fostering team collaboration to improve learning outcomes. The MCL1 is accountable for the learning and development of teachers and students on their caseload and team, balancing teaching and coaching duties effectively, and providing feedback to the principal for team development.

Planning And Preparation
- Set high, measurable achievement expectations for all students.
- Create instructional tools and materials for team use.
- Clarify content and teaching methods.
- Plan lessons backward, align activities and assessments, develop higher-order thinking skills, personalize instruction, and analyze student work to inform teaching.
Classroom Environment
- Hold students accountable for behavior and engagement expectations.
- Create conducive physical learning environments.
- Foster a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and rapport.
Instruction
- Hold students to ambitious academic standards.
- Address social, emotional, behavioral, organizational, and time-management needs.
- Use influence techniques to engage students.
- Incorporate questioning, discussion, small-group, and individual instruction.
- Monitor assessment data and communicate progress.
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain high growth with assigned students.
- Observe and provide feedback to team teachers.
- Spend at least 50% of instructional time coaching team members.
- Seek feedback and participate in professional development.
- Lead communication with families and collaborate on learning strategies.
- Allocate instructional and administrative duties among team members based on strengths and goals.
- Model instructional tasks and develop team effectiveness through role clarification and feedback.
- Evaluate team members for role changes and advancement opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the principal on team members.
Education And Experience:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of relevant subject matter
- At least 4 years of teaching experience with demonstrated high-progress outcomes
- 1-2 years of leadership/coaching experience
- Proficiency with digital learning tools
