Illinois School District U46 is seeking a Middle School Experience Teacher for 6th grade summer programming across Canton MS, Eastview MS, Hawk Hollow MS, Legacy MS, and Tefft MS. Function / Position Summary
To build strong relationships and provide high quality, culturally relevant educational experiences during the summer for students who will be attending middle school during the upcoming school year. The teacher is responsible for creating a safe, intellectually challenging learning environment in which each student is actively engaged in meaningful activities. The teacher uses knowledge of adolescent development and knowledge of the content area in educating a diverse student population. In addition, the teacher models learning as a life‑long process by collaborating with students, parents, colleagues, and community.
