General Statement of Duties

Responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that supports students' academic growth, critical thinking, and social-emotional development. The teacher creates an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment while aligning instruction with state standards, curriculum frameworks, and school goals. This role includes planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and the community.

Essential Duties

Instruction & Planning

• Develop and deliver daily lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Implement differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support all learners.
• Integrate technology and innovative practices into teaching to enhance student engagement.

Classroom Management

Additional Information

The minimum salary for this 10-month/ 209-day position is $60,242 with a bachelor's degree. Annual salary will be prorated based upon the actual work begin date.

Henrico County Schools reserves the right to begin screening applications and make a selection at any time during the posting period.

Starting in the 2023-24 school year, Henrico County Public Schools will designate select schools with high rates of vacant positions and provisionally licensed staff as Opportunity Schools. This program provides additional staffing resources and specialized professional learning as well as compensation supplements to eligible staff. This position qualifies for an Opportunity School stipend of $3,500.
