Olympia School District is seeking a Teacher - Special Education to support students with significant behavioral needs through structured, team-based instruction. The role emphasizes implementing IEP goals, progress documentation, and collaboration with families and agencies.
Required are a Washington State SPED teaching credential and fingerprint clearance. The position is 0.2 FTE/one year only, with benefits via the CBA, and involves a Monday–Friday schedule in an on-site setting.
The job of “Teacher - Special Education” is done for the purpose/s of facilitating Special Services student success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living through implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
This 0.2 FTE/One Year Only position works Monday - Friday.
This position supports students with significant behavioral needs and works closely with classroom staff to provide safe, consistent, and positive behavioral support. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with challenging behaviors and supporting students in a structured, team-based environment. Right Response training is required for this position and will be provided by the district after hire.
