Sylvania is seeking an Elementary Teacher for a 0.1 FTE, one-year position in Olympia, Washington. The role requires delivering district-approved curriculum, documenting student progress, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment focused on STEM.

The job of "Teacher - Elementary" is done for the purpose/s of facilitating student success in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
This 0.1 FTE/One Year Only position works every Friday for 3.5 hours per day.
This position will provide engaging, hands‑on learning experiences for elementary students with a focus on STEM. The specialist will integrate project-based learning, outdoor education, problem‑solving, and other opportunities that encourage students to explore, create, collaborate, and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
Employees will receive vacation leave, paid holidays and additional compensation beyond their base salary as outlined in their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
