The J. Turner Hood Elementary School is seeking a full time General Education Teacher to support students in our RISE Program, a specialized elementary program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners beginning in school year 2026-2027. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
This unique position serves as a bridge between general and special education by providing standards-based instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks while collaborating closely with grade-level teams and special education staff.
The teacher works to ensure students have meaningful access to grade-level curriculum and opportunities to learn in the least restrictive environment (LRE) whenever appropriate.
This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive education, values collaboration, and is committed to ensuring that all students have equitable access to rigorous grade-level instruction while receiving the individualized supports they need to succeed.
North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 1, 2026. New educators are required to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates still to be determined.
