Soliant Health is hiring a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Denton, TX. This full-time, on-site role supports students with visual impairments across settings, collaborating with teachers and families to implement effective accommodations and IEPs.

The position requires a TVI certification and experience with visually impaired learners, plus strong communication and adaptability. It offers a steady, long-term contract in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Valid certification as Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience with visually impaired children is highly preferred.
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• Flexible to work as floating support; caseloads vary by student needs.
• Ability to travel within the local area to support multiple students if needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement accommodations and IEPs.
• Assess, plan, and monitor progress toward student goals and skills.
• Support students in life skills, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology use.
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience working with children who are visually impaired is highly preferred
• Strong ability to adapt educational materials and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Flexibility to work as a floating support, with caseloads to be determined based on student needs
• Ability to travel within the local area to support multiple students if needed

Key Responsibilities:
