Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and monitor progress toward student goals and skills.
  • Support students in life skills, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology use.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Previous experience working with children who are visually impaired is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to adapt educational materials and instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Flexibility to work as a floating support, with caseloads to be determined based on student needs
  • Ability to travel within the local area to support multiple students if needed
