Job summary

SST Champions CP in Houston, TX seeks a Teacher Fellow to provide classroom coverage when teachers are absent and support campus-wide duties. This role acts as a talent pipeline for future teaching openings.

You will deliver instruction using provided lesson plans, manage student behavior, take attendance, and work with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning. The position is full-time with standard hours during the school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required (or actively pursuing degree).
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives, using appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines
• Take attendance and complete required documentation
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise
• Perform any other duties as assigned
