Job summary

SST Advancement in Houston, TX is seeking a Teacher Fellow to provide campus-based instructional coverage and support district-wide duties. This role acts as a talent pipeline for future full-time teaching openings within SST Schools.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (or is pursuing one) and is eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required (or actively pursuing degree).
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines
• Take attendance and complete required documentation
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise
• Perform any other duties as assigned
