Job summary

AWARE invites you to join our team as an early head start teacher in Montana. We focus on supporting adults, children, and families, delivering a comprehensive child development program in Head Start settings for ages six weeks through three years.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED/HiSET required.
• Minimum CDA or willingness to obtain a CDA immediately upon hire and one year of experience in a licensed early childhood facility.
• AA/AS or BA/BS in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field is preferred but not required. 60 hours of childcare training, experience with an evidence-based infant/toddler curriculum, and knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start.

Responsibilities

• Assist in guiding the implementation of a comprehensive child development program that meets the Head Start definition of curriculum in all program options and settings to assigned children six weeks through three years of age.
• Practice theories and sound principles of child and parent education in an environment in which children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age-appropriate social and self-help skills.
• Plan and participate in parent education and parent involvement activities. Present as a clinical coordinator in developing and implementing service and individual treatments plans.
