Job summary

Neighborhood House in Utah is seeking compassionate Early Education Teachers to join our licensed, play-based program for ages 15 months to 5 years. No prior experience or CDA required; we provide paid education to earn your CDA credential and opportunities for career growth.

You will create a safe, engaging classroom, implement Creative Curriculum, support holistic development, and collaborate with other teachers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (No CDA required; experience preferred but not required).
• First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Utah Driver's License.
• Utah Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written; bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
• A strong passion for working with children and a desire to learn and grow in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can thrive.
• Implement Creative Curriculum using play-based learning and interest centers.
• Actively engage in hands‑on activities to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Extend learning beyond the classroom, including outdoor activities.
• Assess each child's progress and tailor activities to meet individual developmental needs.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to create a positive and structured learning environment.
• Use positive behavior management techniques consistent with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).
