Job summary

Kids on the Move is seeking a dedicated Child Care Teacher in Utah to foster children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development through developmentally appropriate activities. You will join a collaborative team and work in a safe, inclusive environment with a focus on growth and community impact.

The role requires certification in First Aid/CPR/AED, background checks, and 1–2 years of experience with young children.

Qualifications

• CDA/Associate's/Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Teaching, or related field.
• Current First Aid, Adult/Child/Infant CPR, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain). Must pass background checks, TB test, and obtain Food Handler Permit.
• One to two years of experience working with children birth to six years.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Plan and implement engaging activities supporting social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs and encourage positive social interactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, child-safe classroom with active supervision at all times.
• Collaborate with families and team members to support child development and communication.

Requirements & Responsibilities

• Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or other education in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Teaching, or a related field.

Schedule

• Full-time position with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Start and end times may vary based on classroom needs and program requirements.
• Year-round program operating on a 247-day calendar.
