QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a current certification in Elementary Education or Secondary Education, preferably in Mathematics, or Special Education K-12 with dual certification in either Math, ELA, Science or Social Studies 7-12.
DUTIES: The Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) Education Bargain with Student and Parents focuses on providing students and parents with a pathway to opportunities that will lead to achievement and success. Services for our Neediest Children and Families serves as one of the focus areas of the district in executing its commitment to students and parents. Under the direction of the Director of Crisis Prevention and Intervention Support and the Supervisor of Student Support Services (Alternative Instruction), the Teacher/Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
APPOINTMENT: The Board of Education will make appointments upon the Superintendent's recommendation, following an assessment of training, experience, credentials, and service. BTF contractual agreement on seniority will be followed. Interviews may be conductedwhen deemed necessary.
