Buffalo Public Schools seeks qualified teachers for after-school EXTENDED LEARNING TIME programs for grades K-12. Positions require NYS teaching certification and current employment with the district.
Teachers develop lesson plans, deliver district-curriculum-aligned instruction, and support enrichment activities beyond the regular day. Assignments are based on qualifications and school needs; planning hours and dates vary by school.

Elementary Schools: start week of October 19, 2026- June 3, 2027
High Schools: October 19- June 14

Teachers are only eligible for openings that do not interfere with school day assignments
Candidates must hold a valid NYS teaching certification in: General Education, ENL, Special Education or content area and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary or temporary teacher. Teachers will create lesson plans and utilize the curriculum and district resources to provide academic and enrichment opportunities for students.
Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration to provide an effective after-school program. Building administrators design after-school programs to meet the needs of students and the school.
Responsibilities include:
The building principals will make the appointment and select candidates who bestmatch the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.
