Job summary

Central Davidson Middle in Lexington, North Carolina, is seeking a Teacher Assistant. Immediate start for a 10-month term in a 19.75 hours per week role, with salary of Pay Grade AIDE and minimum wage of $17.61 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of basic needs and developmental stages of children.
• Ability to obtain CDL and Bus License.
• Ability to drive a school bus as substitute or regular driver.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff and coordinate instructional efforts with the classroom teacher.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, library, playground and other areas as directed.
• Prepare, administer and grade student assignments; maintain records.
• Assist in parent communications and class reports.
• Operate and assist with media/technology equipment as needed.
• Support staff and bus operations when required.
