Job summary

Welcome Elementary in Lexington, NC is hiring a Teacher Assistant for a 10-month, full-time role supporting classroom staff and serving as a bus substitute. The position requires a high school diploma, 3–6 months related experience, and the ability to obtain a CDL and bus license.

You will assist in instruction, prepare teaching aids, supervise students in various areas, operate classroom tech, and communicate with parents under the supervision of the principal.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Discuss duties with teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Supervise groups in cafeteria, library, playground and other areas.
• Present subject matter using varied methods under teacher direction.
• Operate learning aids and technology equipment.
• Assist students with lesson assignments and grading where applicable.
• Assist in preparing reports and materials and maintain student records.
• Drive a school bus when required.
