Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Cliffside Park, NJ, is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the Toddler program. You’ll support Lead Teachers to help children explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment.

The role emphasizes warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm or 1:00pm to 6:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity

Teacher Assistant Toddler

Location: Cliffside Park, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm OR 1:00pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
