Job summary

Broward Children’s Center (BCC) is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support teachers in implementing daily educational activities for medically fragile and developmentally disabled children. The role involves helping with afterschool and summer programs, preparing materials, and supervising small groups of students to reinforce learning.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and at least six months related experience.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required for classroom support and family interactions.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communications.
• Clear communication with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the daily program under the teacher's direction.
• Support afterschool and summer curricula and activities.
