Job summary

Broward Children’s Center (BCC) in Florida is seeking an energetic classroom assistant to support teachers, help implement daily activities, and set up learning centers. You will work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instruction and supervise play and meals in a dynamic, caring environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience; CPR/First Aid and the 45 Hours Child-care Course are preferred by the agency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• DCF 45 Hours Child-care Course required or stated.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the teacher.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and materials.
• Provide individual or small-group instruction and supervise activities.
• supervise outside play, field trips, and routine tasks.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
