Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field is required.
• Experience working in childcare, education, coaching, or paraprofessional preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow teacher direction, support classroom routines, and work effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Commitment to student safety, confidentiality, professional boundaries.
• CPR, First Aid, and DSS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the assigned Classroom Teacher with instructional and classroom responsibilities to create a positive, engaging, and student-centered environment.
• Reinforce academic concepts and assist students with classroom assignments and learning activities in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one instruction.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school events.
• Prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, and assist with classroom setup and organization.
• Support classroom management using positive behavior guidance and social-emotional techniques.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and other assigned duties.
• Comply with all Mason Preparatory School policies and procedures as outlined in faculty, student, and employee handbooks.
