Apple Montessori Schools in Wayne, NJ seeks a part-time Teacher Assistant Preschool to support lead teachers and nurture children in a loving Montessori environment. Hours are 3:00pm–6:30pm, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities including classroom safety, lesson support, and family communication.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, and a genuine love of children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication.
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs.

Teacher Assistant Preschool

Location: Wayne, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
