Apple Montessori Schools in Oakland, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori environment. You will help children explore, grow, and build independence during morning hours.

As a member of our teaching team, you’ll provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Genuine love of children and ability to work in Montessori environment.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, lift and carry children.
• Understanding health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication.
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity.
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
