Alpine School District is seeking a Summit Program Teacher Assistant 2 to support instructional programs in assigned classrooms, focusing on individual or small-group instruction and behavior management. The job of Summit Program Teacher Assistant 2 is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas; assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program; monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance; mentoring outside of the classroom; and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned. This position will be specifically working with student behavior issues. Job duties will mainly be working with students who are completing in-school suspension. Students will be working on academic school work and this person will facilitate the students, help them as needed with the school work, build relationships with the students in an effort to correct their behavior and incorporate them back into the general classroom. In addition, this position will be monitoring the hallways during class as well as monitoring bathrooms during class for all students.
