Job summary

Ridgewood Public School District is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant for the Infant Toddler Development Center. The opening is a recurring posting to prepare for openings throughout the year; schedule is 5 days per week up to 29 hours, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Start date is August 26, 2026 and end date is June 30, 2027. The role assists the Head Teacher with infants and/or two-year-old children and requires experience with young children, collaboration with staff and parents,

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children.
• Willingness to collaborate with Head Teachers, staff members and parents, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to maintaining a respectful working environment.
• Must meet criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Teacher with infants and/or two year old children.
• Collaborate with Head Teachers, staff and parents in daily activities and communications.

Position: Teacher Assistant at the Infant Toddler Development Center

Position Summary: This opening is not for a specific assignment. The district posts annually in an effort to be prepared when a teacher assistant position opening becomes available throughout the year.

The Teacher Assistant will assist the Head Teacher with infants and/or two year old children. Must have experience working with young children. Variable hours to fit scheduling for the opening or closing of the classroom.

Working Conditions

• Start Date: August 26, 2026 End Date: June 30, 2027


• Part-Time Position. Benefits do not apply


• Schedule: 5 days a week, maximum 29 hours per week


• Salary is $18.00 per hour
