Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Wayne, NJ seeks a part-time Teacher Assistant Infant to support lead teachers in a nurturing Montessori setting. Your role focuses on safety, engagement, and building independence in infants while following established lesson plans.

You will assist with daily records, provide warmth and guidance, and participate in meetings and trainings to grow in early childhood education. Hours are Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 6:30pm.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy classroom.
• Capable of following lesson plans and assisting lead teachers.

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
