The FAA Academy in Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Air Traffic Controller training. You will assist instructors, manage course materials, and guide students through the Air Traffic Basics course.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in aviation from an accredited college or university.
• OR a minimum of 1 year of experience as a TA or similar role in a STEM field.
• OR one year of relevant aviation experience (e.g., former CTI instructor, flight dispatcher, flight/airline coordinator)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Instructors with non-instructional tasks to streamline the teaching process
• Serve as an instructor for the Air Traffic Basics course
• Provide support and guidance to students in specific situations to enhance their learning experience
• Prepare and organize course materials and resources
• Monitor student progress

Qualifications

Education

• Must have an associate’s degree in aviation from an accredited college or university

Training and Certification

• Candidates will receive FAA general and course-specific training
• Must become certified by the FAA to meet specific defined job duties and responsibilities
• US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
