Base pay range

$15.45/hr - $15.45/hr

Compensation: $15.45/hr

The Teacher's Assistant provides supportive class supervision, observes patients and documents classroom and patient activities.

Essential Functions - Job Specific

• Demonstrate appropriate written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a positive/supportive learning environment for all patients
• Assist and support the Teacher in duties relating to the school as requested.
• Write behavioral notations in individual patient's chart weekly
• Observe and chart patient's mood, attitude, and classroom productivity
• Report observations and school information to treatment team members
• Adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures of the organization
• Ensures that all areas of responsibility function in a manner that meets all regulatory requirements and abides by HIPAA laws
• Remain current on organizational standards such as (but not limited to) CALM, CPR, and Relias learning
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

• Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
• Regular exposure to biohazard waste materials
• High School/GED required
• Associate degree in education preferred
