Job summary

Anchor Academic Center of Excellence, Inc. seeks compassionate Teacher Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year to support students with diverse disabilities in a private Christian K-12 setting.

As a Teacher Assistant you will work with lead teachers on instructional activities, support daily living skills, monitor progress, and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment. Level II background clearance is required; full-time position available.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with lesson delivery and activities.

• Assist with meal prep and transitions as part of daily routines.
• Obtain Level II background clearance prior to start.

Core Responsibilities

As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in the daily growth and success of our students. Your duties will include:

• Instructional Support: Work cohesively with lead teachers to prepare and deliver engaging activities that facilitate active learning.
• Student Empowerment: Guide students through self-directed activities, allowing them to develop and excel at their own individual pace.
• Environment & Culture: Foster a nurturing, safe, and non-competitive atmosphere alongside our lead teaching staff.
• Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to the classroom teacher.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized, attractive, and safe learning space while adhering to daily operational guidelines (including meal prep and transitions).
• Personal Care: Support students with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
