Job summary

Beanstalk Academy in New York is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team. You will support classroom teachers in delivering engaging activities for preschool to pre-kindergarten students, in a safe and nurturing environment.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families and staff, strong communication, and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced early childhood setting. 1 year of experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans, promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children
  • Support students with individualized needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students from diverse backgrounds
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and respect for all materials and equipment
  • Engage in activities that promote socialization, teamwork, and inclusivity among students, including circle time, group games, and other interactive activities
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and guardians to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Beanstalk Academy, a leading full-service child care and early education provider with 10+ locations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of our students, from preschool to pre-kindergarten, in a safe and nurturing environment.
