BCIT – Westampton Campus is seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics and assist teachers in delivering effective lessons for young adults. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and related coursework or credentials, with strong communication skills.

Full-Time Teacher Assistant
Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology – Westampton Campus

Position Summary

BCIT is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will support classroom instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics, assisting teachers in delivering effective lessons and supporting student learning. Experience working with young adults is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one of the following:
• Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning
• An associate's (or higher) degree
• Meeting rigorous standards through formal assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction or readiness (Para Professional Praxis Exam)
• Knowledge of appropriate classroom practices and demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with young adults preferred

Salary Range: $29,766 - $36,851
