Job summary

Family Service Lincoln in Lincoln, NE, is seeking staff to help run before- and after-school programs for youth. This part-time role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid within 60 days, orientation, a background check, and reliable transportation.

You will work with school personnel, maintain a safe learning environment, and assist with scheduling and de-escalation skills. The position offers meaningful, hands-on experience with Lincoln's youth and a $25 gym reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as a minimum requirement.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• In-person orientation, background check, reliable transportation and trainings required.
• Some basic technology knowledge and comfort using technology are assets.

What we ask:

• Availability to work 4 shifts a week minimum. Before and/or after school hours for the LPS calendar year, summers off, Before- and after-school hours, as well as hiring and scheduling for shifts, are based on the program’s scheduling needs and may vary accordingly.

• Build and support relationships with school personnel and partners.
• Maintain a safe learning environment for program participants.

Requirements

• High school or GED equivalent required unless actively pursuing high school or GED equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) and Basic First Aid certification are required at the time of employment or to be completed within 60 days of hire.
• In-person orientation, a background check, reliable transportation, and attendance at required in-person trainings after hiring are required.
• Some basic technology knowledge and comfort using technology are a great asset for this position.
