Job summary

Devereux Ackerman Academy is seeking a paraprofessional/teacher assistant to support classroom instruction and student activities. You will help protect the health and safety of individuals served while assisting with academic instruction and behavior management.

You will read and implement individualized treatment plans, assist in planning programming, and actively participate as a team member with ongoing trainings and approved strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass background check.
• Experience supporting students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect health and safety while assisting with instruction and managing behaviors.
• Read and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in planning programming and work with the team to achieve goals.
• Actively participate in the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
• Work with individuals per orientation and program handbook.
