Job Description: Teacher Assistant
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team and make a profound impact on the lives of children with special needs. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement personalized educational programs that address the specific goals and challenges of each student as instructed by the Lead Classroom Teacher.
- Participate in engaging and interactive group activities that promote active learning and foster social interaction among students.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including related services providers, staff, and parents, to ensure a holistic and individualized approach to education.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to colleagues and teaching assistants, registered behavior techs and support staff, fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages student growth and development.
- Maintain open and effective communication with Lead Classroom Teachers and staff, keeping them informed about child progress.
Requirements:
The right candidate will have some experience of working with children between 0-3 years old with developmental delay. However, training is offered. ****
- Possess an understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
