Job summary

Holy Childhood in Rochester, NY is seeking an enthusiastic classroom aide to support children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will help students meet daily objectives, participate in physical education, and support the teacher with noninstructional tasks in a warm, structured environment.

The role includes assisting with bus routines, personal hygiene, and classroom management, with duties including clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily objectives in classroom.
• Participate in physical education and aquatic program with students.
• Assist the classroom teacher by performing noninstructional duties to support students individually or in small groups.
• Support classroom management and monitor behavior with individualized interventions.
• Aid with clerical and record-keeping duties or other general housekeeping tasks as directed by the teacher/supervisor.
• Assist students in boarding and disembarking from the school bus.
• Assist students with personal hygiene needs.

Job Summary

What You'll Do...

• Assist students with daily objectives in classroom.
